Dutch weave mesh is manufactured from stainless steel wire. Different from plain weave woven wire mesh and twill woven wire mesh, the Dutch weave mesh has different diameter in the weft and warp directions. Commonly the warp wire is coarser wire, which can supply the high tensile strength for the wire mesh. The weft wire is finer wire, which can ensure the excellent filtering performance. This unique structure with greater strength and finer openings is primarily used as a filter cloth.

Dutch weave mesh can be woven in both plain dutch weave and twill dutch weave. They have their own characteristics, which can be used in different applications. There is also a specially designed and applied products - reverse dutch woven wire mesh in another page, which the warp wire lies close together and has thinner wire diameter than the warp wire.

Plain dutch weave is the combination of dutch weave and plain weave. It has two sizes of wire diameters like the dutch weave. Each warp wire with coarse wire diameter passes alternately over and under one weft wire to supply high tensile strength for the netting. The weft wire with fine wire diameter alternately passes over and under one warp wire to form a fine opening for filtering.
The plain dutch weave mesh cloth is mainly used for filtering and separating liquid and slurry products.

Twill dutch weave mesh combines Dutch and twill weaving to provide a fine mesh filtering cloth. Shute wires are passed over and under two warp wires, providing a tight, fine filter with tapered openings. The weaving process allows for the use of very fine wires, to micron size, producing filtering mesh for gas and liquid applications.

In a Plain Dutch weave mesh, the diameter of the warp wire is larger than the weft, and the mesh is formed by weaving a limited number of warps with the maximum number of weft wires woven tightly together, producing a cloth with no readily visible apertures. This mesh is strong and stable, easy to clean and with a good flow rate suitable for high pressure liquid/solid separation

Twill Dutch weave mesh is produced with the weft wires packed together in the same principle as Plain Dutch weave mesh, but with double the number of weft wires woven in an over two, under two pattern.
The weft wires overlie each other creating a sinuous path of filtration. The cloth is very robust with a smooth surface and the finer weft wires and smaller pore sizes provide excellent flow characteristics.
The finest filtration rates are obtained with this type of weave.

This is produced in a reverse of the Plain Dutch weave mesh wire arrangement, whereby finer warp wires are positioned tightly together and a thicker weft wire is woven in at set intervals.
The cloth is mechanically strong with a high throughput and it performs particularly well in high pressure vertical and horizontal filter leaf applications where backwashing and filter cake removal are important.

Manufactured as a Reverse Plain Dutch weave mesh in a twill pattern, which reduces the deformation of the warp wire, this cloth is very stable and particularly strong in the warp direction with a high flow rate.
